The H2GEO project consortium has successfully completed Deliverable 6.1, focused on the development of a comprehensive technology for the processing and valorisation of waste accumulated in mine waste dumps and disposal sites.

The developed solution integrates the results achieved throughout the project and covers the entire process chain, including waste beneficiation, recovery of coal and mineral fractions, and the utilisation of recovered materials in hydrogen production technologies and geopolymer materials.

Deliverable 6.1 brings together the outcomes of laboratory research, engineering design activities, and technological analyses carried out by the project partners. The proposed approach supports the principles of the circular economy by enabling the recovery of valuable raw materials from mining waste while reducing the environmental impact of historical waste deposits.

The completion of Deliverable 6.1 marks an important milestone in achieving the H2GEO project objectives and demonstrates the potential of post-mining waste as a valuable resource for sustainable industrial applications.
